26 November, 2024
The ICM project Agreement has been concluded between the Turkmen State Institute of Culture (TGIK) and Çankırı Karatekin University (ÇAKÜ) according to which TGIK teacher Maral Muratlıeva had her internship at the School of Tourism and Hotel Management at ÇAKÜ in October 2024. During the internship program, she also delivered lectures and practical classes for ÇAKÜ students and teachers on the opportunities of Turkmenistan’s tourism potential. The lectures stimulated great interest of the audience and wish to visit Turkmenistan. Her lecture topics:
"Tourism potential of Turkmenistan", "Main tourist attractions of Ashgabat and the Ahal region", "The Parthian fortresses of Nisa — a UNESCO World Heritage Site", "Avaza National Tourist Zone," "Darvaza Gas Crater," "Kunya-Urgench — UNESCO World Heritage Site," "Dinosaur Plateau on the Slopes of the Koitendag Mountains," and "Ancient Merv State Historical and Cultural Reserve." Maral noted that participation in the project provided an opportunity to learn about the teaching methods of Turkish colleagues and exchange experiences.
Maral took active part in the ÇAKÜ International Conference "Turkey's Cooperation with African Countries" where she addressed the audience with interesting presentation about historical and cultural tour sites of Turkmenistan. As part of the cultural program, participants had the opportunity to see the nature sights of Turkey: Ilgaz Mountain National Park and the Yer Alti Tuz Şehri salt mine.
In 2024 the TSIC fulfilled the first part of the Interinstitutional Agreement with Çankırı University; in 2025 they are expecting a return visit of a Turkish lecturer to Turkmenistan.
