Mayuri Dang has always wanted to make a meaningful difference by working in the humanitarian field. When she discovered the NOHA Joint Master’s in International Humanitarian Action, she felt she had found her true calling.
Why NOHA and the University of Warsaw?
"The EMJMD in International Humanitarian Action at the University of Warsaw (UW) stood out to me because of its rigorous academic curriculum, diverse faculty, and strong emphasis on practical skills.
The programme gives students the opportunity to learn from practitioners representing leading humanitarian organisations such as Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders) and the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC).
Believe it or not, one of our professors even showed us old photos from a working meeting during an official visit by former UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan!"

Language Requirements
For the NOHA Joint Master’s Degree Programme, applicants must provide proof of proficiency in the language of instruction at the universities they plan to attend. Students who completed their undergraduate degree in English may also be accepted. "In my case, my undergraduate studies were taught in English, so I provided a confirmation letter from my university. I also had an IELTS test result. Proof of French or Spanish is required only for students applying to NOHA partner universities where these languages are used as languages of instruction."

"Students in my class come from diverse backgrounds and countries, including the United States, Japan, Afghanistan, France, Indonesia and Rwanda. Some have previous experience with organisations such as the Norwegian Red Cross, Save the Children and the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC). This diversity brings a wide range of perspectives to the classroom and creates a welcoming and inclusive learning environment. I am grateful for this community and look forward to working with my classmates on future projects."
