An exciting event at the French Institute in Ashgabat

On 14 June 2024, the staff of the NEO Turkmenistan was invited to take part in the event organized by the French Institute in Turkmenistan. The event was intended to present for students of the Institute the opportunities to study at the universities of Europe within the framework of the international European programs.
Ambassador of France to Turkmenistan Monsieur Philippe Merlin and Director of the French Institute in Turkmenistan Monsieur Romain Gouvernet warmly welcomed the audience, wished them success and fulfilling their goals and aspirations. The necessity of learning languages, opening the prospects for the acquisition of further knowledge and professional development, was emphasised by Ayna Chorekliyeva, NEO Coordinator Turkmenistan, who inspired students to reach for their ideas and courageous goals. The NEO staff explained the advantageous and study opportunities for individual participation in the Erasmus+ Program.
Two interesting presentations were made by successful applicants who won Master’s scholarships to study at the universities of France and Italy. One, a grant holder of Erasmus Mundus Joint Master MIR, said that her EMJM scholarship had become her hard-won achievements which she could be very much proud of.
The French Institute in Turkmenistan is the French Embassy’s focal point promoting the cultural and educational cooperation. It offers French language courses, certificates, media library services and a wide range of creative activities to local residents.
Almost two decades, the French Institute in Turkmenistan has been actively welcoming Turkmen students to learn the French language and explore France ancient values and history. The Institute organises spectacular events for learners to enjoy the French national folklore, theater, cinema, and modern writers.
