MEPs visited NEO Turkmenistan

On 19 June 2023, a group of European Union high-ranking representatives met with the NEO team during their working visit to Turkmenistan. Among the honored guests there were: EU MPs Ryszard Czarnecki and Tomáṥ Zdechovskỳ, Head of the EU Delegation to Turkmenistan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Diego Ruiz Alonso, Deputy Ambassador Renata Wrobel, and team support officials.

The MSCFP application call will be opened in mid-July 2023

The Marie Sklodowska-Curie Fellowship Programme (MSCFP) was launched in 2020 by the IAEA Director General in an effort to increase the number of women in the nuclear field, supporting an inclusive workforce of men and women who contribute to and drive global scientific and technological innovation. The programme aims to inspire and encourage young women to pursue a career in nuclear related field.

University cooperation in the framework of ICM project

Director of the Institute of Analytical Chemistry in Bratislava, Professor Ivan Spanik is currently in Turkmenistan as part of the International Credit Mobility project which has been signed in the context of the Erasmus+ Program between Magtymguly Turkmen State University and Slovak University of Technology. Professor I. Spanik, who is also a member of the Slovak Chemical Society and an expert of the Slovak Accreditation Service, will deliver lectures during the last week of March to university students and specialists in the field of chromatographic analysis and their application. Within the framework of the ICM project cooperation, professional internships have been planned for the TSU academic staff, as well as working visits of academics of the Slovak University to Turkmenistan.

Turkmenistan ratified the Lisbon Recognition Convention

According to the State Information Agency turkmenistan.gov.tm, in order to improve foreign credential recognition for higher education and VET, on November 20, 2022 President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed the Law ratifying Turkmenistan’s accession to the Lisbon Convention (LRC) on the Recognition of Qualifications concerning to Higher Education in the European region.
